Refund & Studio Policies

These policies apply to all classes (1-day, 4-week, 8-week, Intermediate and Kids), memberships, private events and gift cards purchased from Zei Pottery Studios Inc. Please read them before booking. Questions? Email us at info@zeipottery.com.

Class cancellations and refunds

Our classes have limited spots, so we follow this policy:

• More than 10 days before the class starts: full refund to your original payment method.
• Between 10 and 3 days before the class starts: a refund to your original payment method minus a 15% fee, or the full amount as a Zei Pottery gift card.
• Less than 3 days before the class starts: no refund.

Classes take place at either our 988 Queen St. W or 1102 College St. location. Please check the address and date carefully before booking.

If we cancel a class

If Zei Pottery cancels or reschedules a class, you can choose a full refund or move to another class date.

Missed classes and make-ups

• Make-up classes are not guaranteed. If space is available in another session, we may be able to arrange one. All make-up classes are subject to a $25 make-up class fee.
• If you miss a class, your instructor will make sure your pieces continue through the process so you can keep up with the group.
• Kids Program: please let us know at least 3 days in advance if your child will miss a class.

Your finished pieces

• All pieces are bisque and glaze fired by our team. We will email you when your work is ready for pickup.
• Pottery is an unpredictable craft. We cannot be held responsible for cracks, warping, glaze surprises or other unexpected results that happen during firing.

Membership

• Membership is billed in 8-week blocks.
• To cancel, please give at least one month’s notice.
• Members may pause (freeze) their membership up to 2 times a year, for a total of up to 2 months.
• After cancelling, returning members are added to our waitlist and accepted as space becomes available.

Private events

• A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a private event. Your booking is confirmed once the deposit is received.
• Additional time can be added at $100 for every extra 30 minutes, subject to studio availability.

Gift cards

• Gift cards can be used for any class, membership, private event or ceramics purchase at Zei Pottery.
• Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded.
• Gift cards do not expire.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, it can take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
