Handbuilding

CLASS STRUCTURE

• This is a one-time, 2.5-hour handbuilding class. The final 30 minutes of the session are reserved for studio cleanup.
• You’ll be introduced to the core techniques of handbuilding—pinching, coiling, and slab-building—while creating your own unique piece. Whether you make a cup, a dish, a vase, or something entirely abstract, your instructor will be there to guide you every step of the way.
• The focus is on creativity and play: shaping, smoothing, texturing, and making something that’s truly your own.
• At the end of the session, your piece will be bisque fired, glazed, and glaze fired by our studio team.
• Finished work will be ready for pickup in approximately four weeks. You’ll receive an email when everything is ready.
• Please note: There are NO make-up classes. Missed sessions cannot be rescheduled or refunded under any circumstances. We appreciate your understanding.
• Please note: Pottery is a beautifully unpredictable craft. Sometimes the kiln gods are kind… sometimes they’re not. Zei Pottery Studio cannot be held responsible for cracks, warping, glaze surprises, or other unexpected outcomes that happen during firing. But don’t worry—your instructor will help you create something built to survive the adventure.
